Great Blue Heron, Great Falls, Virginia

Posted by
Donna (Wakefield, Walnut Hill, United States) on 13 October 2012 in Animal & Insect.

After sunrise, the good light was gone from the Great Falls, so Dan and I took a hike above the falls on the Potomac River.

Dan and I were looking out at the river and didn't see the heron until it started to slowly walk away. We think it was trying to sneak away and thought if it moved slow enough, we might not see it.
